Yahoo!’s DC public policy/government relations office seeks an addition to its fast paced and aggressive team. The right candidate will be an imaginative team player and superior advocate, and will handle a diverse set of issues, including intellectual property, telecom, human rights, privacy and other issues as they arise.
Day-to-day duties include:
- Strategic planning;
- Serving as liaison with business leaders to determine business priorities and identify risks to those priorities that could come from legislative or regulatory bodies; advocating before staff and members of congress to limit those risks and educate government about Yahoo!
Minimum Job Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree.
Preferable Job Qualifications: Law degree preferred but not necessary.
Ideal candidate will have 2-4 years Capitol Hill or lobbying experience.
